How it works

A pump for a system that has no pump

Your arteries have your heart. Your veins and lymphatic vessels rely on muscle contraction to move fluid back up the leg — which is exactly what stops happening when you sit still after a hard session. The boots inflate in sequence from foot to hip, mechanically doing the job your calves would be doing, and one-way valves keep the fluid moving in the right direction.

Zero Gravity recliners, so your legs sit above your heart for the whole session.
Why people use it

What it actually does

Heavy legs

The clearest use case. After a long run, a ride, or a leg day, forty-five minutes noticeably changes how the legs feel the next morning.

Swelling and fluid

Sequential compression is the same principle used clinically for edema. It moves accumulated fluid out of the lower leg.

After travel

A flight or a long drive does to your legs what sitting still after training does. Same remedy.

Hands free

No heat, no cold, no effort. The one service here you can work through, which makes it the easiest to keep up.

Stacks with everything

Book it after a sauna or a plunge. Nothing to recover from afterwards.

No threshold

Nothing to brace for. If heat and cold are not for you, start here.

Questions

Before you book

Anything not covered here, call us — +1 213 686 5600.

What does it feel like?
Firm, rhythmic squeezing from the foot upward, like a slow massage that repeats. It should never be painful.
Can I adjust the pressure?
Yes, at any point. Tell us and we change it — the range is wide and most people move up over a few sessions.
Can I work during it?
Yes. Your hands are free for the whole session, and plenty of members take calls.
What should I wear?
Shorts or leggings. The boots go on over clothing, so nothing to change out of.
Straight after running?
Yes — this is the ideal window. Immediately after a long run or ride is when it does the most.
How often?
As often as you like. There is no adaptation cost and nothing to recover from, so daily is fine in a heavy training block.
Can I add it to another booking?
Yes. Sauna or contrast first, boots after, is the most common pairing.
Who should skip it?
If you have a history of blood clots or DVT, an open wound on the leg, or a fracture that has not healed, do not book — talk to your doctor.
